Located at a sufficient altitude so that low lying clouds perch, Hacienda Las Nubes (or, The clouds) is a small UTZ certified coffee farm, in the picturesque mountains of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. A property such Hacienda Las Nubes, is rarely offered for sale under $1 million. Overlooking the area’s natural foliage, the plantation resembles the once sought after haciendas of the past.

The Picking Season, which traditionally runs for 4 months, is from October to February. With an annual “cosecha” (or, harvest) of 120 Quintales (each Quintal bag weighs 100 pounds), the approximate operation breaks down to 20 Quintales per “cuerda” (or, acre). Hacienda Las Nubes offers its beans in the green stage, picked when they are most ripe.
Presently, the plantation is being run as a small family operation- with a select international network of small batch coffee buyers that fulfill specific orders, annually. Trade and sales agreements for the crops are established for 2016 and the following years. The agreements will be honored, as well as continued.
You can find the coffee in its roasted form exclusively at Badass Coffee Brew Company (L.A-based brand) in Old San Juan.
